The judicial misconduct of Chief Justice Joseph Bevilacqua in Rhode Island Courts is legendary.

In 1986 Chief Justice Joseph Bevilacqua resigned as an investigation of his activities revealed misuse of public funds and employees, together with other behavior unbefitting a judge.
