Reported Attorney Misconduct Of Attorney Maria J.R. Goncalves In Rhode Island Courts

Attorney Maria Goncalves Denies Knowledge Of Wrongdoing.  Is Her Denial Believable?

Complaint One:  Attorney Goncalves was appointed to Providence's much-maligned Housing Court.   Attorney Goncalves's father has been cited more than 257 times for housing code violations.   Attorney Goncalves handled some of her father's business affairs but said she was not deeply involved.   Yet she has served as Vice President of one of her father' companies and as manager of others.   She also represented her father during some of his hearing violations and on a lead poisoning insurance claim.    She also arranged title insurance and other matters for his house purchases.

This complaint also begs the question as to how Attorney Maria Goncalves got appointed to this position in the first place.  Welcome to the Rhode Island Courts!
