Complaint One: Atty. Goncalves was appointed to Providence's much-maligned Housing Court. Atty. Goncalves's father has been cited more than 257 times for housing code violations. Atty. Goncalves handled some of her father's business affairs but said she was not deeply involved. Yet she has served as Vice President of one of her father' companies and as manager of others. She also represented her father during some of his hearing violations and on a lead poisoning insurance claim. She also arranged title insurance and other matters for his house purchases.
