Press Release of Richard Wayne Garganta
March 16, 2000
This is to notify all that a life long Citizen of Rhode Island by the name of Richard Wayne Garganta has suffered serious injustice at the hands of our corrupt courts and judges. As a result, starting Friday March 10, 2000 at 10PM, Mr. Garganta has started a hunger strike [water only] of indefinite duration with the following objectives:
- Have Judge Higgins admit he did NOT follow the plainly worded Rhode Island law regarding the retaliatory eviction defense and the courts mandated rebuttable presumption position in the eviction matter of Mobile Village v. Garganta. Judge HIggins not only refused to question Mobile Village regarding Mr. Garganta's retaliatory defense regarding dangers to Mr. Garganta's life and home, but also blocked Mr. Garganta from questioning Mobile Village.
- To bring attention to the fact that the Commission of Judicial Tenure and Discipline responded to Mr. Garganta's complaint about Judge Higgin's willful and deliberate misconduct of refusing to follow Rhode Island law with the response, "We [the Commission] see no wrong doing."
- That the Town of Exeter, the Courts and/or the Department of Business Regulation will stop ignoring Exeter's Mobile Village willful non-compliance with fire code violations and properly address the issue.
